T.P. Mills Handmade

Each T.P. Mills Handmade putter reflects the shaping, finishing and design decisions of David Mills. Created in very limited numbers, every piece combines the character of handwork with the performance expected from a putter built to be played.

The Piece

This Trad II begins with a classic SGSS cavity-back blade and is completed with an individual J.S. Design stamping composition.

The cavity features the flowing Mills script, a black anvil mark and the hand-stamped 357G head weight. The rear bumpers carry HAND and MADE lettering in white paint fill, while the lower face and sole edge display J.S. DESIGN by David and GERMAN SS markings.

A playful character motif appears on the neck, and the face heel is finished with red, white and black T.P. Mills graphics. Differences in the depth, position and spacing of the individual marks are part of the handmade composition rather than the appearance of a uniform production process.

Crafted by David Mills

Each T.P. Mills Handmade putter reflects the shaping, finishing and design decisions of David Mills.

Rather than being completed as a uniform production item, every handmade piece carries its own arrangement of stamping, paint fill, surface tone and finishing detail. The result is a putter built to be played while retaining the individual character expected from a handmade T.P. Mills creation.

The Model Profile

The Trad II presents a traditional cavity-back blade profile with a clean topline, compact heel-to-toe proportions, softened rear bumpers and a full flange behind the face.

A single white sightline is positioned at the center of the rear flange. It provides one clear visual reference without introducing the multiple lines or extended alignment structures commonly found on larger mallet putters.

The result is a familiar, uncluttered address view for golfers who prefer the visual proportions of a classic blade.

Handmade Details

Material and Feel

The head is produced from Swiss German Stainless Steel, commonly identified as SGSS within the T.P. Mills Handmade line.

The Trad II uses a classic plumber neck and toe-hang balance.

This configuration creates a familiar offset presentation and allows natural opening and closing of the putter face through the stroke. It may suit golfers who prefer a slight-arc motion rather than a face-balanced or Zero Torque configuration.

Stroke recommendations are a starting point rather than an absolute fitting rule. Aim, setup, eye position, tempo, delivery and personal visual preference should also be considered when selecting a putter.

Finish

The Dark Flamed finish gives the surface a restrained charcoal foundation with shifting bronze, violet, blue and silver tones. These transitions become more or less visible as the lighting and viewing angle change.

The finish is intentionally individual. The photographs document the actual tone, handwork and surface character of the piece offered for sale, although its appearance may vary slightly between displays and lighting environments.

Hand Stamping
Face Milling

A concentric circular deep-milled pattern extends across the face.

The combination of the SGSS head, 357-gram mass and face geometry contributes to the sound and feedback produced at impact. Final impact character will also vary with the golf ball, shaft, grip, stroke speed and strike location.

No single material or milling pattern determines feel on its own; the finished putter should be evaluated as a complete system.
